The Real Inspector Hound
A One Act Murder Mystery by Tom Stoppard
Bielefeld University’s English Drama Group is putting on a show again! This semester the EDG presents The Real Inspector Hound, a one act murder mystery by renowned British playwright Tom Stoppard. Catch one of four performances from January 31st to February 3rd. Find us in Hörsaal 7 at 8 pm, at Bielefeld University. Admission is free.
The Real Inspector Hound revolves around two theatre critics, Birdboot and Moon, who meet on the opening night of the titular play. A classic murder mystery in the style of Agatha Christie. However, as the night progresses, the boundaries between spectators and stage begin to fade until the critics find themselves involved in the performance.
This whirlwind parody of the noir detective story leaves the audience intrigued, possibly confused, but most certainly delighted.
