Living an immigrant life
What it takes to thrive in Germany
This meetup ist for immigrants woh want to connect and share with other immigrants on various topics. In a casual and relaxed atmosphere, we will discuss topics such as: how to thrive in Germany, some of the psychological challenges (e.g. loneliness, racism) that we face and how to deal with them, to name a few. The meeting will be led and coordinated by psychologist Evelyne Waithira Müller, who herself immigrated to Germany 16 years ago. It will be conducted primarily in English (though communication in German is possible). The meetup will be online. You can join the meetup on all Mondays or on the days you find the topics interesting. The dates and topics will be as follows:

06.11.2023 - Loneliness - Building friendships, meaningful connections and cultivation a sense of belonging.
13.11.2023 - How to deal with the pressure from back home.
20.11.2023 - Racism: how it manifests and how it affects us (exclusively für Black people and People of colour).
27.11.2023 - Dealing with the affects of Racism (exclusively für Black people and People of colour).
04.12.2023 - Pursuing our goals: What are my dreams and aspirations?
