Dispossession and the Memory of the Earth in Colombia

Film Screening & Discussion

Join us for a screening presenting the outcomes of “Traces of Disappearance”, a project examining violence against people and land in Urabá Antioqueño, Colombia. Developed by the Colombian Truth Commission in collaboration with Forensic Architecture, the project explores how dispossession, environmental destruction, and memory intersect in processes of transitional justice. Following the screening, a discussion with Folco Zaffalon and Fernanda Barbosa, co-coordinators of the project at the Truth Commission and co-authors of the book chapter “Traces of Disappearance. A Groundbreaking Archive of Transitional Justice, From Investigation to Exhibition” (2025).
